Bimbo Canada is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Commercial Finance team with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to closing of period end, variance reporting, supporting the Marketing & Sales teams, financial modeling & analysis, forecasting, P&L analysis, preparation of the annual budget, and other ad-hoc responsibilities.

\xc2\xa7 Preparation and review of monthly results, performing period end closing rutinary activities, root cause variance analysis versus budget, prior year, and other benchmarks as required.

\xc2\xa7 Work closely with the Marketing & Sales teams to provide financial support such as Expenses Management & P&L analysis to aid in understanding of results and better management of each business segment (customer, category, region, market, other).

\xc2\xa7 Deep understanding of the business and period end financial drivers of comprehensive P&Ls especially at variable contribution margin. Drivers include commercial volumes, returns, pricing, trade spend, gross profit, cost of goods, margins, and others.

\xc2\xa7 Development and preparation of trend analysis to guide forward looking expectations.

\xc2\xa7 Accountable for development, production and optimization of information databases and standard reporting.

\xc2\xa7 Leverage previous experience and learn to optimize current processes, reporting, daily tasks, etc.

\xc2\xa7 Other Ad-hoc financial / business projects and reporting as required.

\xc2\xa7 Communicate business results to Functional leaders and Internal stakeholders

\xc2\xa7 Train and develop Sales & Commercial team\'s financial acumen, and support on Commercial reporting tools

Hiring Criteria

\xc2\xa7 3-5 years of experience.

\xc2\xa7 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VBA / Macros).

\xc2\xa7 Sound and clear understanding of Financial Statements and Accounting procedures.

\xc2\xa7 Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

\xc2\xa7 Ability to communicate and present clearly with a variety of audiences.

\xc2\xa7 Strong organizational skills.

\xc2\xa7 Must be extremely proactive, independent but, at the same time, team player who has the ability to collaborate with peers.

\xc2\xa7 Willingness to learn and build new processes, guides, procedures, reports, etc.

\xc2\xa7 University or College degree in Accounting / Finance / Business.

\xc2\xa7 CPA / CFA designation or enrollment in CPA / CFA Certification Program considered an asset.

\xc2\xa7 Experience in Commercial Finance and / or consumer packaged goods considered an asset.
