Job Description

The Faculty of Education is seeking qualified Contract Academic Staff (CAS) to teach the following online course during the 2024-25 Spring Sessions in our graduate program.


07:765 (NET) Qualitative Research Methods



(2025 Spring Session, Both Term May 5 - June 19, 2025)



This course is designed for students who wish to develop more skills in qualitative research methods. A variety of qualitative methodologies will be studied, including action research, narrative, ethnomethodological, and phenomenological inquiry. Students will learn how to analyze data collected in qualitative research studies. Ethical guidelines for qualitative research will also be discussed.


Qualifications:



We are seeking applicants who hold a Ph.D. in Education, if necessary, we will consider applicants who hold a Master of Education degree with a thesis and have experience conducting research. Applicants may seek to establish an experiential/traditional equivalency to the Masters degree and

are invited to contact the Dean of Education on how to establish equivalent academic or professional credentials; please direct such inquiries to the email address below. Knowledge of K-12 Education and experience teaching adult learners via distance-mediated synchronous learning platforms would be considered assets. The successful candidate must also be accepted into the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

Salary:

$6,901 per 3 credit hour course
