We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part Time Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a hospital setting, particularly in acute care, and will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in patients of all ages. This role requires a strong focus on patient care and effective case management to ensure optimal outcomes for our patients.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing functions.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and treatment options.
Stay updated with the latest medical terminology and advancements in speech therapy practices.
Requirements
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current state licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist.
Previous hospital experience, particularly in acute care settings, is preferred.
Familiarity with case management practices and patient care protocols.
Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus.
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to speech therapy and rehabilitation.
