Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a hospital or clinical setting.

Responsibilities



Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess speech and language disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing functions. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care. Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and treatment options. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards. Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in speech therapy practices.

Skills



Proficiency in medical terminology related to speech therapy and patient care. Strong case management skills to effectively coordinate care for patients with complex needs. Experience in acute care settings is preferred, particularly within a hospital environment. Knowledge of pediatric speech therapy practices is highly desirable for working with younger patients. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism while working with diverse populations. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
