Purpose

The energy program specialist is a member of the mine engineering team. The incumbent of this position is responsible for developing and maintaining the energy management plan for the mine, processing facility and self-sustaining systems.

Description

  • Engage in strategic planning and providing guidance and leadership to mining operations to ensure the Energy Management Plan is aligned with mines and processing facility.
  • Facilitate the analysis of energy consumption in a fashion to provide guidance to operations on energy conservation and cost avoidance.
  • Coordinate the creation of project teams, aligned with the Full Potential Program to adequately address the high priority energy management opportunities.
  • Lead the teams to ensure the baselines are established and results are measured, monitored, communicated and controlled.
  • Report on and respond to Federal, Provincial, Corporate and Site energy analysis and reporting requirements, i.e. The MFQ Program.
  • Promote the use of standard procedures and policies and encourage the development of improved procedures, guidelines and standards
  • Update project databases and business systems to improve their accuracy and efficiency of use in decision making
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business systems or engineering technology, operations management or a related field with application to our mining, processing, and resource-based business.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
Working Conditions
  • Schedule : 8 days of work followed by 6 days off, 4 days of work followed by 3 days off, 4 days of work followed by 3 days off
  • Eleonore mine site
