We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
Collaborate with team members to create innovative dishes that enhance the dining experience.
Manage food handling procedures to ensure quality and consistency in all dishes served.
Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and facilities to ensure they are in good working order.
Handle customer inquiries and feedback regarding menu items or service.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Proficiency in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Experience with bartending is a plus, enhancing the overall hospitality experience for guests.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when needed.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and preparation.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
