Moon Lake Golf & Country Club is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Sous Chef for the 2025 golf season.
Moon Lake Golf & Country Club is a beautiful 27 hole Scottish links style championship golf course located 10 minutes southwest of Saskatoon on the scenic Valley Road. The Club offers a full range of food services throughout it's various outlets including weddings, tournaments, banquets and a full service restaurant/patio.
Role & Responsibilities:
Reports directly to the Head Chef and Food & Beverage Manager while assisting in responsibility of food services during events throughout the operation while upholding all company standards and policies
Responsible for the day to day kitchen duties in the absence of the chef
Committed to a high level of customer satisfaction in a fast paced environment
Job Duties:
Performs all necessary food preparations and cooking/baking duties as outlined by menu & recipe specifications in a clean, organized and timely manner (line cooking and banquet cooking duties
Maintains all occupational standards ie: Food Safe, WHMIS, Health and Safety Policies, cleanliness
Collaborate with Head Chef on menu planning and recipe development
Grill large amounts of burgers and steaks to order
Any other related duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Food & Beverage Manager
Qualifications:
Reliable transportation
Formal Culinary Training considered an asset
A minimum of 5 years cooking experience or 2 years in a similar role
Food Safe Certificate
