Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met, adhering to health regulations.
Oversee food handling practices to maintain quality and safety throughout the cooking process.
Prepare high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or as a Sous Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of food service operations, including food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
Proficient in food handling techniques with a focus on quality control during food preparation.
