Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive Chef -
Sous Chef
provides exceptional guest satisfaction thorough the delivery of creative and delectable food offerings. This role provides support to the culinary leaders and connects the F&B team members, ensuring smooth operational success. This role provides an opportunity to continue developing a career in the art of culinary, opening up opportunities for advancement internally and externally throughout the Tourism/Hospitality industry.
Offering consistent professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues.
Assist with creating food menus with the guidance of the Executive Chef or Culinary Director.
Setting and meeting standards of cleanliness and quality.
Maintaining inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment.
Assist with the production, preparation, and presentation of all food items, always ensuring highest quality.
Guide, train, and coach team members while holding them accountable for their own actions.
Following kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.
Adhering all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
Receive and store food deliveries using proper rotation and food handling practices.
Leading by example to hold the team accountable for their duties.
Adhere to set out portion control, respectful food handling in order to contribute towards food cost targets.
Communicating with the Executive Chef daily. Supporting the Executive Chef as necessary.
Main point of contact for communication with the front of house staff.
Ensure opening and closing procedures are fully completed for all stations.
Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Diploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset.
Proven track record of creativity, leadership, and passion.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Highly responsible & reliable.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.
Ability to work flexible hours.
Advanced Food Safe Certification.
First Aid Certificate is an asset.
Salary:
$54,000-58,000 per year
Visa Requirements: Must provide eligibility to work in Canada
