We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with the ability to lead a team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef, General manger and ownership to create menus, maintain high standards of food quality, and ensure efficient kitchen operations. Accommodations are available at your own expense of $1000 per month all in for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and efficiency.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Help resolve any issues that arise during service, maintaining a positive work environment.
Skills
Proficient in food handling techniques and safe food preparation practices.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse kitchen team.
Extensive knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and culinary trends.
Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is essential.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
Expediting and plating skills are needed
