Summary
We are seeking a passionate
Dining Room Client Manager
to join our team at the Ray of Hope Soup Kitchen in Moncton. This role is vital in ensuring that our dining area operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing directly to our mission of serving those in need.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure clients are orderly, and tactfully handle any issues that may arise.
2. Assist the head cook in setting up menus one week in advance while maximizing use of donated food and purchasing food only when necessary.
3. Responsible for setting up dining room and overseeing its smooth operation, and daily cleaning.
4. Dining Room volunteer onboarding and direction, with the support of the head Cook
5. Must have own transportation for food pick up from time to time
6. Keep Head cook informed of any food that is received daily.
7. Support Head cook with record keeping using excel spreadsheet templates
a. Handle daily donations and maintain record of all donations that come through the kitchen - monetary or food or otherwise and keep these records updated
b. Send monthly stats to Parish bulletin
c. Send daily stats to FDA "Link to feed"
8. Responsible to transmit the weekly order to the Food Depot on Monday
9. Carry out daily and weekly tasks on task list including:
a. Picking up food supplies every Wednesday and as required during the week. (must provide own transportation or arrange for pick up)
b. Ensure weekly laundry is taken to the laundromat on Monday and picked up on Wednesday.
c. Take garbage out to shed at the end of each day and put garbage out to curbside by 8am every Wednesday.
d. Unload bread and other food from FDA truck on daily basis.
10. In case of equipment or facility breakdowns, contact maintenance support as required in a timely fashion.
11. Ensure bathrooms are kept clean.
12. Provide back up to Cook for sick days and vacations. (some cooking experience is an asset)
13. Ensure area around garbage shed is kept clean.
14. Assist in other areas of the Kitchen as required.
Strong supervisory skills with experience managing teams effectively.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and collaboration.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is an asset.
