We are looking for a leader for our multi-tiered restaurant experience.
Upscale fine dining in the restaurant dining room, large lake front patio and cozy sports lounge & pub. All fit together in our newly rebuilt Kilmorey Lodge, a Southern Alberta institution welcoming guests for almost 100 years.
As our Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for all facets of our front of house operations working closely with our kitchen, hotel team and owners.
Optimal Experience & Skills:
3 years as an F&B manager in the restaurant industry.
10 years plus of serving or other experience in the restaurant industry.
Hotel industry experience favoured.
Excellent communication and business-minded management skills.
The contract start date open to discussion.
(Include but are not limited to)
Supervising the floor through scheduling and assigning tasks/cleaning duties
Training on the opening and closing the restaurant.
Maintaining consistency of service quality and standards
Some serving will be required
Working with the bartenders to provide a drinks program of great quality and consistency.
Learn how to operate the POS and resolve mistakes, errors, and crashes.
Assist in the end of shift cash outs for servers at the end of each shift
Reconcile and track all staff cash outs
Maintaining stock levels
Overseeing the set-up, maintenance and breakdown of buffets, functions and events as required.
Attending weekly Manager Meetings.
Assisting with monthly inventory.
Responsible for approving worked hours, and confirming schedules
Provide coaching and conduct performance evaluations for all team members
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with all standards
Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
3 years Supervisory or Management experience in the F&B restaurant industry.
Guest Service Excellence focused
Must be legally allowed to work in Canada
Knowledge of the operations of both Front of House and Back of House.
Successful completion of Pro-Serve alcohol service certificate
Food Safe Training considered an asset
Experience of a high-volume restaurant environment.
Knowledge of Restaurant Manager POS systems is an asset
Working knowledge of wine, wine service, spirits, mixology, and pairing beverages to meals is an asset.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
