Responsibilities

As a Soil and Crop Modeling Intern, you will:

• Be responsible for analyzing the performance of various tillage equipment using discs, tines, sweeps, and rolling baskets as ground engaging tools.
• Create soil clods, running the baskets through the soil clods, and analyze force/soil flow data.
• Develop virtual clods and test them in Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulations, following the physical tests.
• Gain experience with creating a testing plan, exposure to data acquisition, and learn about DEM and its use in the industry.

This position will pay between $19.83-$31.82/hour.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering with emphasis in computational modeling, or other related degree area.
