Responsibilities

As a Soil and Crop Modeling Intern, you will:

• Modify the existing program to predict geometry wear of ground engaging tools of Construction Equipment under the guidance of an engineer in the Soil and Crop Modeling (SCM) group.
• Complete laboratory tests during which combine parts/or appropriate substitutes will be worn down in a controlled environment.
• Develop a model by which to complete a series of simulations.
• Compare the output to the data obtained from the laboratory tests to validate the model.
• Complete engineering calculations, develop C++ code, and process data generated from laboratory tests.
• Create a report of the work completed at the end of the internship and present the developed model to soil and crop modeling (SCM) team and design engineers.
• Gain knowledge of the complete CNH Industrial product development cycle as well as key insight into predicting the performance of machines that interact with soils.

This position will pay between $19.83-$31.82/hour.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials, Chemical Engineering with an emphasis in computational modeling, or other related degree area.
