Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Social Media Manager to join our nonprofit client for the next 2+ months, working 3-4 days/week in their downtown office. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing our client\xe2\x80\x99s social media strategy, creating engaging content, and building a strong online community. This role requires a deep understanding of social media platforms, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze and report on social media performance.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our brand goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our strategy remains current and effective.
  • Create, curate, and manage engaging content for all social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to produce high-quality content that resonates with our client\xe2\x80\x99s audience.
  • Write compelling and on-brand copy for social media posts, ensuring consistency in voice and tone.
  • Build and nurture a strong online community by engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and fostering meaningful conversations.
  • Monitor social media channels for customer feedback, inquiries, and potential issues, and address them promptly and professionally.
  • Track and analyze social media performance metrics to measure the success of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Use data to inform future social media strategies and content creation.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, including paid advertising, to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, PR, and creative, to ensure cohesive and integrated campaign efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media management or a similar role.
  • Proven track record of creating successful social media campaigns and growing online communities.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and analytics tools.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and a creative flair.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Passionate about social media and staying current with industry trends.
  • Positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
