Join our Administration Team as a Social Media Coordinator where you have the opportunity to learn and grow in a Relais & Chateaux property also recognized as an AAA 4-Diamond Resort and T&L World\xe2\x80\x99s Best Hotel. As a part-time role, the successful candidate will work 2 \xe2\x80\x93 3 shifts a week as the Social Media Coordinator, and may work in combination with another role at the Inn for the remaining 2 \xe2\x80\x93 3 shifts a week. Objectives:

  • Curation and creation of content for the Inn\xe2\x80\x99s Social Media accounts with individualized content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube, and Twitter
  • Work with the F&B departments to curate/create content on the Inn\xe2\x80\x99s F&B channels
  • Curation and creation of content for WickCareers through collaboration with the Human Resources Department and Marketing Manager
  • Daily monitoring and response to follower comments and questions on all social media accounts
  • Involvement in Tofino-based social media threads where appropriate
  • Track social media posts and evolve content as appropriate based on responses and underlying strategy
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to procure updated content (photos, blog posts, etc.) and coordinate timing of promotional or advertising needs on social media and ensure consistent tone & delivery as well as branding
  • Ongoing research and updates of best practices for social media and recruitment; work with Marketing Manager on annual updates to the Inn\xe2\x80\x99s social media strategy
Requirements:
  • Exemplary guest service skills and a demonstrated willingness to exceed guest expectations
  • Extensive knowledge/experience with social media, industry trends, an asset
  • Previous Social Media experience in a commercial setting an asset
  • Examples of potential posts will be required (describe a dining experience at The Pointe, a yoga session at Ancient Cedars Spa, or visit to Henry Nolla\xe2\x80\x99s Carving Shed)
  • A demonstrated level of appropriateness in terms of content, photos, relevance and accuracy
  • Must enjoy shift work and be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a stressful environment, and creative problem solving skills
  • A mutual understanding of your employment duration will be determined during your interview
