What you will be doing The Site HR Manager offers continuous support to the Site HR lead on diverse Human Resource related topics. Specifically, the Site HR Manager supports and advises on the following areas: HR Strategy & Vision

  • Collaborate with Site HR Lead and the HR Business Partner to ensure alignment with Umicore's HR Strategy & Vision
  • Manage labor relations strategy and complex labor relations activities together with the Site HR Lead where applicable
  • Transform business priorities into local site HR policies and actions, as well as monitoring the implementation
  • Partner with Heads of HR or HR Business Partner team to provide input into business goals, to execute local HR initiatives and to implement HR programs as needed in close collaboration with HR Operations and CoE?s

Consulting, Advising, Coaching & Communication
  • Advise and consult with site business leaders in escalated issues or conflicts related to HR topics
  • Partner with site business leaders on strategic HR and talent priorities, discuss questions around C&B, talent acquisition, etc.
  • Advise and provide input to CoEs, HR Operations and Business Unit leaders on local skills and talent needs
  • Advise and consult site leaders throughout recruitment & development
  • Own the Talent Acquisition & recruitment process (up to Hay 21) and onboarding for hires when there is no dedicated Recruitment Center that supports the site(s).
  • Participate in internal/external HR conversations to support the site HR lead
  • Support the site HR lead with constructive, social discussions in the site on the business and HR objectives
  • Contribute and sustain social dialogue and maintain contacts with trade union delegates to solve HR issues where applicable
  • Ensure clear and crisp communication on HR decisions and rules towards the site employees
  • Create an inspirational local work environment
  • Work as a trouble shooter, finding solutions and debugging issues raised toward HR topics and services

Programs & Projects
  • Act as a facilitator of internal HR working groups and improvement programs
  • Participate and co-manage HR projects and the roll-out within the site
  • Support the delivery of HR policies, programs and processes by HR Operations and the CoE?s and ensure adjustment to the local needs of required
  • Responsible for social and legal projects (social elections, reorganization, work regulations)
  • Contribute to several cross-functional improvement projects inter/intra site (cluster)
  • Perform site level workforce planning
  • Support the identification of L&D needs and set-up of local/site specific training programs accordingly (main focus on blue and white collars) within global and/or BU CoE guidelines and additive to existing programs.

Who we are looking for Functional requirements
  • Master's Degree, plus 7 yrs or equivalent combination of education and experience
