Horizon Recruitment Inc has an immediate need for a Shipping & Logistics Lead to join our client in the retail sector. You will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of products from the Distribution Centre to retail stores. As the Shipping & Logistics Lead you will lead, train and mentor a team of 15-20 people. You will, create, implement and manage KPI\'s, while keeping other DC staff up to date on the status of orders.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor shipments and expedite deliveries
- Follow efficient and effective processes to optimize all delivery runs
- Liaise with DC staff and drivers to optimize routes
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and communicate any operational efficiencies
\xc2\xb7 3-5 years previous shipping or warehouse experience
\xc2\xb7 Used to working in a fast paced and challenging environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to lift items up to 50lbs
