Course Description:

This course deals more rigorously and more mathematically with the topics included in and is intended primarily for students in certain Economics Specialist programs.

Estimated course enrolment: 150

Estimated TA support: 450 hours (contingent upon enrolment and funding)

Class Schedule Class Schedule: Monday 11:00-13:00; Wednesday 11:00-13:00 and Thursday 11:00-13:00

The delivery method for this course is currently in-person. Please note that, in keeping with current circumstances, the course delivery method may change as determined by the Faculty or the Department.

$19,283.09 (Sessional Lecturer I - Long Term)

$20,524.30 (Sessional Lecturer III - Long Term)

Minimum qualifications:

• PhD in Economics
• Prior experience teaching this course (or a similar course) at the university level
• Ability and experience teaching large classes

Preferred qualifications:

• Demonstrated excellence in teaching over four or more years

Description of duties:

• Preparation and delivery of lectures in this course
• Supervision of teaching assistant(s) assigned to course
• Preparation, supervision and grading of tests and examinations in accordance with University regulations
• Providing scheduled office hours for academic counseling of students
