COURSE: FSC300H5 F Forensic Identification
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Focusing on the scene of the crime and evidence found there, this course is an introduction to the field of forensic identification. Topics include: crime scene protocols, management and reconstruction; image collection, storage and enhancement; recognition collection; and chain of custody and preservation of evidence

SIZE OFAPPOINTMENT: 70 hours (total number of assigned hours for all positions is dependent on course enrolment).
APPOINTMENT DATES: September 1, 2023-December 31, 2023
LECTURES: Thursdays 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
PRACTICALS: Fridays 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM-5:00 PM
QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful candidates will have Masters degree (completed) in one of the forensic sub discipline fields [ANT, BIO, CHM, PSY] with substantial science course background at the graduate level and a background in Forensic Science and ethics; knowledge of techniques used in forensic scientific research and project management. Preference is given to candidates with previous research, forensic science background, teaching, marking and field experience, and those who have obtained their B.Sc. in Forensic Science at UTM.
DUTIES
Prep and delivery of weekly 2-hour labs and all lab demonstratives; Group in-lab supervision; Assist with marking/grading assignments; Grade entry on Quercus; Oversee, schedule and organize mock trials to ensure smooth execution of trial exercise.
