You will manage user experience, design deliverables for complex cross-ministry projects involving agile product teams, and maintain the voice of the customer to ensure that user-centered design principles are incorporated into technology-build strategies as a Service Designer.

Responsibilities
  • Produces user interfaces and interaction models for digital products, web, and mobile, including graphic design, interaction design, and data visualization.
  • Determines and utilizes the best tools (sketching, HTML) to convey design concepts throughout the product lifecycle, including high and low-fidelity prototypes.
  • Collaborates with other members of the product development team
  • Provides guidance and practice leadership to team members, based on a solid understanding of leading and emerging user experience design methods.
  • Interprets and recommends research findings and artifacts to shape (primarily) digital product design and development.
Qualifications
  • A degree or diploma in design, technology, or a related field, as well as 5-6 years of experience working in a user experience or service design capacity.
  • Service design experience on complex, technical projects that developed methods to manage large volumes of data.
  • Worked in an agile, digital product-focused development environment with user experience teams, service designers, and developers to create and improve digital products and services iteratively.
  • Knowledge of related UX Design practices and skills, such as journey maps, service blueprints, personas, and the creation of wireframes and prototypes.
  • Mentoring and supporting less experienced UX practitioners is a plus.
  • The ability to identify and apply the best tools (sketching, HTML) for communicating design concepts throughout the product lifecycle, including high and low-fidelity prototypes.
