Service Advisor
position. We are looking for an organized, customer-focused individual whose primary responsibility is to act as a liaison between the customer and Service Technician.

WHAT YOU OFFER (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies):
The ideal Service Advisor possesses the following:
Two years' experience in the automotive industry
Completion of high school education or equivalent
Outstanding communication and customer service skills
Computer and data entry skills
Ability work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to diagnose problems based on what customers describe
Adaptability. Able to adjust to change and cope with complex situations.
Customer focus. Monitors customer satisfaction regularly.
Safety and compliance. Understands and respects the need to follow safety policies.
WHAT YOU DO (Duties & Responsibilities):
A Service Advisor is responsible for:
Ensuring customer satisfaction by listening to needs, communicating repair and maintenance information with associated costs and providing regular updates regarding the status of the repair.
Understanding and adhering to safety policies and procedures, following safety guidelines and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
Preparing work orders that describe the vehicle's problem, potential repairs required, the time required to complete the repair and estimated repair costs broken down by parts and labour.
Sharing knowledge with customers about the need for regular maintenance.
Completing internal, online and outside training as determined by the Service Manager and required by GM Canada.
Assuring proper flow and accurate completion of all repair orders to satisfy warranty, dealership and manufacturer requirements.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Service Advisors are expected to meet key performance indicators related to customer service indexes and training compliance. Additionally, possessing and maintaining a valid driver's license and providing a criminal record check are conditions of employment.
