Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our team! Service Advisors are a vital link between our customers and our technicians - providing exceptional customer service, while effectively communicating needs and managing expectations for auto repairs and maintenance.

This is a full-time, permanent position Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.

At Minute Muffler, we pride ourselves on delivering high quality auto repair services and exceptional customer service at a fair price. We service all automotive makes and models in a fully equipped, six-bay shop, with an emphasis on brake and exhaust repair, wheel alignments, A/C, suspension and engine repair.

We are looking for a Service Advisor who is customer-focused and reliable, with great communication skills. The individual must be motivated in a fast paced environment, working as part of a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner Collaborate with technicians to ensure clear communication regarding service requirements and timelines Accurately document service needs, provide parts, labor and time estimates, and order parts daily Explain mechanical diagnosis and required repairs in a non-technical manner to clients Recommend additional services based on vehicle needs and customer history Schedule and manage the appointment calendar to ensure efficient workflow Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and invoicing for repair services Maintain accurate customer information and service history in the shop software system Perform shop closing duties daily Identify, recommend, and support opportunities for process improvements
Requirements:

3+ years experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or similar role Knowledge of automotive systems or background as a mechanic to effectively communicate technical information to customers Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Computer proficiency; experience with Mitchell shop software is an asset Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Self motivated, with high attention to detail and good time management Ability to work effectively as part of a team Valid driver's license
