We have an immediate opening for a Service Advisor.
The ideal candidate will serve as a vital link between our customers and the service department, ensuring that all customer needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. Experience in a service writer or advisor in a dealership or automotive repair environment is considered an asset. Wages will be dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
Write clear and detailed service orders, ensuring all vehicle issues and requested services are accurately documented.
Clearly communicate customer concerns to technicians and service managers to ensure a proper understanding of the work required
Prepare detailed service estimates and invoices, ensuring clarity in pricing and services offered.
Stay in contact with customers throughout the service process, providing updates on the status of their vehicle. Answer questions, explain service details, and ensure the customer is fully informed.
Prepare final invoices, ensuring all parts and labor are correctly listed and priced. Process payments, handle billing questions, and provide receipts.
Maintain organized records of customer interactions, service orders, and follow-up communications.
Manage and process warranty claims for customers with defective parts or service issues covered under warranty. Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed for warranty repairs, including parts and labor details, and submit claims to manufacturers or vendors in a timely manner.
Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services while keeping customers informed of progress.
Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
Requirements
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with cash handling procedures is a plus.
Familiarity with dealership operations is beneficial but not mandatory.
A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Must have the ability to operate computers, in order to type, use dealership software, monitor reports, and use email.
