About the Role

Are you passionate about food, wine, and creating memorable dining experiences? Join The Lookout Restaurant at Gray Monk Estate Winery as a Server! In this role, you will provide exceptional front-of-house service, ensuring high-quality dining and wine-tasting experiences through outstanding technical service and engaging hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Memorable Guest Experiences

Provide warm and engaging service from the moment guests are seated until their departure. Adhere to the Property's Standards of Service to ensure a consistent and exceptional dining experience. Build meaningful connections with guests, creating a memorable and personalized experience.

Support Team Development

Assist in training and mentoring junior service staff to maintain high service standards.

Communicate and Collaborate

Articulate our wine and food philosophies confidently to guests. Communicate guest requests and needs effectively with the kitchen, management, and team members to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Drive Sales and Engagement

Promote Wine Club memberships and contribute to sales initiatives. Stay informed about on-property events and brand positioning to support marketing efforts.

Administrative and Safety Duties

Accurately complete daily cash-outs and maintain updated training and certification records. Follow all safe work procedures and report any unsafe conditions to management.

What You Bring

A passion for delivering exceptional guest service and creating memorable dining experiences. Strong verbal communication skills with an ability to build rapport with guests. A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in serving, hospitality, or related roles is an asset. A Serving It Right Certificate (required).

Work Environment & Expectations

Must attend all scheduled training and staff meetings. Flexible availability, including holidays, weekends, and evenings. Outdoor work during patio season, sometimes in extreme heat (up to 40C).
