Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute IT infrastructure projects
  • Pre sales client assessments
  • Create and optimize presales client assessments
  • Provide vCIO services to clients \xe2\x80\x93 audit, assess and document clients\xe2\x80\x99 IT infrastructure, processes and procedures and make recommendations for improving them
  • Determine client\xe2\x80\x99s IT requirements and design appropriate on-premises and/or cloud based solutions
  • Create technical solutions, Bill of Materials, Statement of Work for client proposals
  • Work with sales to deliver client solution proposals and roadmaps
  • Oversee and conduct Quality Assurance assessments for clients
  • Mentor technical staff and provide escalation support
  • On boarding new clients
  • Provide remote and on-site support for clients\xe2\x80\x99 IT systems.
  • Design, implement, troubleshoot, maintain and support client network infrastructure
  • Research & development for new products and services

Education Required

  • MCSE (Server Infrastructure) or MCITP (Server Administrator) Certification \xe2\x80\x93 must have or must be actively working towards such a certification
  • Cloud Certification \xe2\x80\x93 Microsoft Azure (ie Azure Administrator/Azure Architect)
  • Microsoft 365 (Intune, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Cisco certification (CCNA)
  • Sophos Engineer/Architect certification \xe2\x80\x93 preferred
  • Technical diploma or degree \xe2\x80\x93 preferred
  • Cyber Security designation \xe2\x80\x93 preferred

Experience Required

  • A minimum of five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience (where applicable) installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the following is essential:
    • Windows server operating systems \xe2\x80\x93 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019
    • Active Directory and Group Policy
    • Virtualization technologies \xe2\x80\x93 Hyper-V, VMware
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Microsoft 365 suite of technologies
    • Exchange Server 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019
    • Microsoft Remote Desktop Server
    • Windows desktop operating systems \xe2\x80\x93 Windows 7/8/10
    • Backup solutions such as Datto and Veeam, etc.
    • Networking protocols and equipment (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP routers, firewalls, switches (layer 2 & 3), VLANs, etc.)
    • Firewall and related security products (Sophos security \xe2\x80\x93 preferred)
    • HP and/or Dell server hardware
    • IaaS virtualized cloud Servers, networks, firewalls
    • Remote Monitoring and Management platforms (ie: Solarwinds N-Central)
    • Professional Services Automation (PSA) systems (ie: Autotask)
  • Experience in the following is an asset
    • SharePoint/Teams Design and Administration
    • Azure AD and User Identities
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Citrix Virtual App/Desktops
    • Disaster Recovery
    • High availability solutions
    • iSCSI and Fiber channel SANs
    • NAS solutions
