The opportunity

As a key technical lead in the Insights and Governance team within the Strategic Cost Management team, the Senior Data Consultant will play a meaningful role in delivering and supporting our newly released Global Initiative App (GIA). With 600+ users, the GIA encompasses the following components:

Front End Application (Power Apps)

Workflows (Power Automate)

Portfolio Dashboards (Power BI)

This high visibility role will work in developing and improving the components above. You will meet with partners from all segments to understand their requirements on reporting and adapting it to GIA. You will gain exposure to new and exciting tools within the Microsoft Power Platform and build end to end solutions used by all of Manulife

Key Accountabilities:

Act as a domain expert for all things Power BI and dashboard reporting

Work with partners to translate business requirements to useful development features

Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for portfolio reporting

Strategize on architecture and roadmap for future releases

Help lead product backlog and supervise weekly change management process

Act as a backup to the Director in representing all aspects of the application and the team

Coach and mentor more junior staff members

How will you create impact?

Working with the Director, Insights and Governance, you will be a key member of the team to take our application to the next level, driving analytics and insights to help all partners make decisions for over 1000+ active initiatives.

Skills and Proficiencies

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from University or equivalent

3-4 years of Power BI development Experience

Experience as the technical SME for high visibility projects

Sophisticated Excel skills

Works well individually with much ambiguity

Tools specific knowledge:

Excel - (Advanced)

Power BI - (Intermediate-Advanced)

SQL - (Intermediate)

Power Apps (nice to have)

Power Automate (nice to have)

SharePoint Online (Intermediate)
