Summary


Bell Aliant is continuing with its focus on the residential new construction segment in Atlantic Canada. With thousands of new homes constructed in our region each year, Bell Aliant is in relentless pursuit of gaining and maintaining dominant market share while leveraging its world class Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) network. As a key component of Bell Canada\xe2\x80\x99s broader organization, the New Construction Partnership Team builds and manages Executive level relationships with Canada\xe2\x80\x99s most prominent residential real estate developers.
The Senior Specialist, Business Development - New Construction Partnerships role has been designed for a quick-thinking and logical professional who wishes to work and lead in an evolving and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will work to improve upon already strong positions in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland, while being part of a high-performance team. The Senior Specialist will work closely with developers of single-family unit (SFU) homes and residential multi-dwelling unit (MDU) buildings, and will create and maintain lasting relationships with key contacts, as part of securing a variety of FTTH wiring and marketing partnerships.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:


  • Be a key leader in the residential new construction segment in Atlantic Canada
  • Work to meet individual SFU & MDU wiring and marketing rights agreement targets: Through a consultative selling process, ensure each residential development site within each assigned account is signed to a wiring & partnership agreement
  • Prioritize and manage key clients based on size, history, province / competitive footprint
  • Formulate and enact strategies to grow unfriendly or challenged developer relationships and tactics across multiple markets
  • Budget management (hosting, association membership, etc)
  • Work within Salesforce.com to track all funnel details and account & deal progress, successes and challenges
  • Analyze, understand and speak to market trends, major players, opportunities, threats and levels of urgency


Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years of experience of sales, business development, or relationship/partnership management, ideally in the MDU or new construction space
  • Proven ability to bid and win exclusive or unique deal opportunities, both over the phone and in person
  • Outstanding and proven people skills; ability to influence C Suite leaders
  • Experience managing day to day operational and administrative requirements
  • Telecom industry experience is an asset

  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and attitude
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Bilingualism will be considered a strong asset
  • Some regional travel will be required
