We are looking for a Sales Manager who is responsible for attracting & obtaining business, by converting high potential key prospects from all identified market segments. Duties & Responsibilities:
Proactively establish client base of individuals, organizations, associations, group, and corporate businesses to secure business for the hotel
Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines
Accurately produce and/or review all sales contracts, rate agreements and RFP\'s
Monitor and handle inquiry calls and provide client proposals in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures
Work closely with other departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients
Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections, and off-site presentations for potential clients; entertain qualified potential clients in accordance with our company and property policies and procedures
Produce monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts
Represent hotel at trade shows and conventions and/or participate in sales trips to key feeder markets
Follow up with clients regularly during and after departure to ensure satisfaction and secure future bookings
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
Perform other duties assigned by DOSM
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must have previous hotel sales experience
Must have superior customer service skills including the ability to manage difficult customers and/or situations
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with prospects, residents, and internal staff
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal direction and respond effectively to issues that arise
Demonstrates ability using sales process to achieve individual and team goals.
Proficiency in computer systems Word, Excel, Micros and Opera Sales PMS required.
Salary: Base wage + Commission
Schedule:
You would be expected to respond to rental inquiries before, during and after regular work hours
Must be flexible to accommodate work priorities
May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Work Location/Arrangement: 318 Wellington Street West, with the ability to work remotely 2 days per week
