Your opportunity at ARC\xe2\x80\x99TERYX:
As the Senior Retail Brand Concepts Designer, you will develop new and innovative concepts across a wide variety of projects, from in-store to experiential to events. Your vast experience in architectural design, physical experiences, graphic design, and premium in-store executions enables you to work on future projects that connect consumers to our brand and our products. You work well cross-functionally, have experience working with and mentoring junior designers, and can articulate a clear vision with ease.
This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work or the right remote candidate. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.



Meet your future team:
The Brand Creative team is hands-on and iterative; building creative with the same passion embodied in our product. Art Directors, Graphic Designers, Photographers, Stylists, Videographers, Editors, Environmental Designers and Craftspeople embody a wide spectrum of skills to be deployed. The team is comfortable behind the pen, on an exposed ridgeline, and in any global city. You will be a key member of the Retail Brand pod, working to bring brand focused projects and deliverables to life. You will work cross-functionally with our partners in Retail, Store Design, Brand Marketing and Brand Operations.

If you were the Senior Retail Brand Concepts Designer now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

    • Collaborating with the Retail Brand Marketing pod, Retail Store Design team, and/or a Creative agency to develop innovative design solutions
    • Managing the concepts library and utilizing your experience, knowledge, and network to develop future thinking projects, and add to the library
    • Developing and iterating on concepts for all channels (flagship, brand stores, partner stores, factory outlets, shop-in-shops, tradeshows, etc.)
    • Communicating our brand effectively through visualization and presentation, presenting ideas clearly and effectively for cross-functional approval
    • Partnering closely with the Retail Store Design team to align on future design development
    • Working with Brand Operations partners to track time to and meet time sensitive deadlines
    • Working independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support all areas of Marketing with graphic design needs
    • Supporting other design and production activities as assigned

    • Concepting around a pop-up store for a future product line
    • Designing an experiential event for a global marketing campaign
    • Researching new market trends, innovative materials and processes related to Retail Design


Are you our next Senior Retail Brand Concepts Designer?

    • You have a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or diploma in Graphic Arts, Architecture, Industrial Design, Design or a related field
    • You have 5+ years of Environmental Design, Architectural Design, Experiential Design, Graphic Design, or a combination of related work experience
    • You have excellent design and verbal/visual communication skills
    • You have excellent ability to create, understand and translate 3D concepts into 2D mock-ups
    • You have experience with both Mac and PC platforms
    • You are proficient in Adobe CC Suite, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Smartsheet and MS Office
    • You have demonstrated the ability to proof-read text in English to a very high standard
    • You have strong knowledge of current retail landscape and the latest trends and innovations
    • You have a strong ability to drive work to ensure deadlines are met
    • You are extremely organized
    • You are detail oriented with a meticulous eye for visual consistency
    • You are driven to problem solve and open to learn
    • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
    • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
