about the team

This role reports to the Sr. Director, Global Retail Brand Experience. The Brand Experience department is a core function of the Brand Marketing organization, with a sharp focus on elevating an inspired understanding of the brand and product stories that underpin and uniquely define lululemon across multiple platforms. Comprised of the core functions of Digital Brand Experience, Retail Brand Experience, Store Design and Event Experience, this team is redefining digital and physical brand experiences by providing strategic design for the online-to-offline journeys that serve our guests and drive sales.

what you'll do

The Director, Global Retail Brand Experience Concepts & Activations is responsible for the delivery of storytelling and presentation tactics to communicate our key brand and product stories across our global store fleet, supporting the needs of the brand and business. This role leads the development and implementation of a holistic and distinctive product storytelling vision, strategies and plans that drive impact for critical brand, seasonal moments, and product priorities. This role will lead and drive the development of seasonal frameworks and 365 storytelling tools, in strong partnership with the regions, to guide and shape work in order to drive consistency throughout the marketplace. This role will lead a team to develop and execute integrated and inspired in-store journeys at lululemon stores.

  • In partnership with business owners and in service of a clear and engaging guest experience, reimagine the way our brand and product stories come to life in our stores.
  • Drive the strategy, storytelling journey, and content needs that drive a distinctive in-store experience for the lululemon guest.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising and Styling team to set and lead the vision for seasonal priorities in the Mock Store.
  • Coach and mentor the Global Brand Experience Concepts & Activations Team to support the ongoing development and functional expertise. Help build the next generation of functional leaders.
  • Partner with Brand, Retail, and Merchandising teams to set annual team priorities to support mid- and long-term business objectives
  • Develop and drive global best practices and standards to achieve scale across the lululemon fleet. Capture regional insights and key city learnings for broader scale.
  • Collaborate with Brand Management, Brand Creative, and Brand Experience partners to guide the development of campaigns, content and experiences and deliver toolkits to inform global execution.
  • Oversee and support the planning and application of tiered executional strategies and solutions for lululemon's global store fleet for Tier 1 and 2 Brand stories.
  • Manage team priorities and resource allocation to ensure that business objectives are being met.

  • An undergraduate degree is required in Business, Marketing or Communications
  • 8+ years of stores brand marketing experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a corporate retail environment required
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business results through development and execution of brand marketing strategy and content
  • 5+ year of leading and developing teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Innovative and strategic thinker
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed organization
