Job Title Senior Research Analyst

Summary The Senior Analyst reports directly to the GTA Director of Research and plays a crucial role in driving the development of local research output and thought leadership. This position includes gathering and analyzing local market data to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the market. The insightful analysis conducted by the Senior Analyst plays a vital role in crafting research deliverables that are seamlessly integrated into pitch and proposal materials. The Senior Analyst assumes responsibility for proactively and routinely maintaining Cushman & Wakefield\'s proprietary database. Additionally, the Senior Analyst takes proactive measures to regularly maintain Cushman & Wakefield\'s proprietary database. Furthermore, the position serves as a diligent quality control auditor, ensuring the utmost accuracy of reports, data, and adherence to corporate standards.



Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and fulfilling all research requests efficiently.
  • Providing support for local quarterly data compilation, statistical production, and addressing client inquiries and forecasts.
  • Gathering crucial transaction information from brokers and asset managers, analyzing it, and communicating observations regarding evolving market conditions.
  • Contributing to market thought leadership initiatives.
  • Supplying research information for utilization by Managing Principals and Brokers during media interviews.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to publicize market trends and analysis on social media platforms and the company website.
  • Offering recommendations for the design and development of new products and services.
  • Conducting higher-level, comprehensive analysis and producing written reports that surpass the scope of work typically performed by Analysts.
  • Attending, actively participating in, and presenting market information and quarterly updates at branch sales meetings, client pitches, and presentations.
  • Assisting in specialized projects aimed at improving systems, enhancing information flow, and automating existing processes.
  • Sharing best practices within and across markets or offices to foster knowledge exchange and growth.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS required.
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate industry or research-related field
  • Professional acumen, understanding of commercial real estate
  • Experience in data entry/data management and time series analysis/forecasting.
  • Experience in developing forward-looking insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas effectively.
  • Proficient in building connections and fostering relationships.
  • Adaptable to change and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with excellent planning, organizing, and prioritization abilities.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, displaying sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Exhibits leadership qualities, capable of managing, training, and mentoring entry-level research resources.
  • Strong writing skills, capable of effectively communicating and analyzing market conditions to support business development for internal and external clients.
  • Possesses extensive knowledge of the complexities and regulations within the CRE industry, with the ability to capture, analyze, and communicate key market metrics and indicators.
  • A team player who collaborates well with others.
  • Takes accountability and ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Resourceful and proactive in problem-solving, capable of resolving issues with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and determination to go above and beyond expectations.
  • Possesses intellectual curiosity and a commitment to investing time and energy in commercial real estate (CRE) knowledge.
  • Skilled in efficiently and accurately operating databases, including data input and auditing.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
