Position: Senior Recruiter
Location: Toronto
Job Type: Contract

Currently seeking a Senior Recruiter to join the government on a contract basis until end of April (with a potential to extend).

Must have experiences in supporting full cycle recruitment in the following areas: legal counsel, accountants, technology, data/business intelligence.

Job responsibilities:

- Work proactively with HR team members and hiring managers to ensure effective delivery of the complete talent sourcing/recruitment cycle including, monitoring and supporting the hiring approvals process; development of position descriptions, selection criteria, job postings, competency-based assessment tools, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting/coordinating professional and background referencing and providing summary feedback for hiring managers; adhering to standards, protocols and procedures
- Manage the posting/advertising process, interfacing with search and advertising agencies and monitoring social, professional and networking websites
- Interview and evaluate candidates for key employment factors
- Participate in the development of recruitment planning strategies, process improvement activities and supports implementation of recruitment plans for strategic HR service delivery
- Develop key performance indicators to measure recruitment success
- Participate in job design, job evaluation process
- Provide advice and support to managers on the application of recruiting systems and tools; identify/recommend sourcing options and potential sourcing sites
- Recommend interviewing and candidate assessment methods
- Manage recruitment data/activity to ensure that all relevant information is gathered, updated, processed and stored
- Maintain resume databases, candidate pools
