Brightstar Law is seeking an experienced and detail-driven Real Estate Law Clerk to join our dynamic and growing team.
We are a boutique law firm focused on delivering high quality work and delivering a smooth experience to clients for their closings.
We have an efficient process where administrative assistants open files, allowing our law clerks to focus on the important work. Our lawyers are involved and meet with clients in the beginning of the transaction to set expectations and estimate closing costs.
The position will be remote, with all necessary equipment provided, but you may need to attend our downtown Toronto office for training.
Responsibilities:
Manage residential and commercial real estate transactions.
Conduct title and off-title searches and draft closing documents.
Communicate with clients, lenders, realtors, and other law firms in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain well-organized and detailed files, ensuring all deadlines and closing dates are met.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a real estate law clerk in Ontario.
Completion of a law clerk program is an asset.
Strong knowledge of real estate conveyancing.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with computers.
