Our mid-size Pickering firm is expanding and seeks to add a Senior Real Estate Law Clerk / Conveyancing Manager with a minimum of 10 years' experience to our dynamic legal team. This is an in office position.
Primary duties include:
- Managing all title searches, registrations, requisitions letters and review of the real estate clerks files for the real estate department.
- Handling overflow Residential Real Estate purchase, sale, title transfer and refinance transactions from beginning to end, including coordinating client details, ordering on and off title searches, responding to requisition letters, preparation of all correspondence and signing documentation, reporting to both client and bank, and other duties as required.
- Managing the legal assistants in the client intake department and assisting with quoting and client business development .
- Managing staff and guiding law clerks on files and applications for registration.
Strong working knowledge of Closer, Leap, Teraview,l and Microsoft Office Suite is an asset.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate:
Ability to handle a significant volume of title searches (approximately 40-70 per month on busier months) and a significant volume of registrations (approximately 100 - 130 a month on busier months);
Quoting clients and managing complex real estate inquiries and title issues;
Assistance with title transfer files and overflow residential real estate files as needed;
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
Excellent multi-tasking skills, being able to prioritize and complete time sensitive tasks in a detailed and effective manner;
Independently productive and self-starting;
Able to collaborate and thrive while working on a team with a common goal;
Client oriented with a strong focus on service and care;
Ability to remain calm, patient and empathetic in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
