The Opportunity: We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Digital Wealth team.

Your role will be required to regularly perform essential duties on behalf of the company from your assigned Aviso office. Your role is considered medium flexibility, requiring you to work onsite 1-3 days per week at our office at 151 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON. Reporting to the Director, Product Management, the Senior Product Manager is responsible for the P&L of Qtrade Direct Investing and Qtrade Guided Portfolios, balancing the profitability of their products with meeting the needs and expectations of clients. You will have responsibility to ensure that your products are competitively positioned in the market, and you advocate for ongoing product enhancements to increase the value proposition of our solutions. You proactively monitor the performance your products and take the lead to solve problems with the assistance of our vendors and partners to meet and exceed product performance goals and client satisfaction.

What your day looks like:

In partnership with the Director, Product Management, ensures that Qtrade Direct Investing and Qtrade Guided Portfolios continues to meet the needs of Qtraders and prospective clients by:
  • Being the Subject Matter Expert for the QDI and QGP product
  • Ensuring that the QDI and QGP products are operating efficiently
  • Leading the discovery of ideas to continually improve the QDI and QGP products
  • Recommending new features/enhancements to QDI/QGP to continually enhance our value proposition
  • Managing approved incremental enhancements and improvements to the product
  • Understanding Qtrader\xe2\x80\x99s engagement with these products and identifying areas for improvement and making a case for change
  • P&L responsibility for Qtrade Direct Investing (QDI) and Qtrade Guided Portfolios (QGP)
  • Conduct ongoing industry and competitive analysis to obtain market insights and identify opportunities
  • Ensure optimal operation of QDI and QGP (managing the costs of the product offerings)
  • Managing issues with downtime/outages to minimize client impact
  • Ensure critical updates are scheduled (with Technical Product Owner)
  • Evaluating vendor performance, ensuring that KPIs are being met and identifying areas for continuous improvement with our vendors and recommending any changes to vendor relationships
  • Lead problem solving sessions with partners and vendors. Build and maintain view on vendor / partner capabilities
  • Monitoring and report on key QDI and QGP KPIs, enabling an exceptional and consistent customer experience across for QDI and QGP (desktop and mobile)
  • Supporting the Director, Product Management in managing the backlog of approved QDI and QGP product enhancements with the Technical Product Owner ensuring that prioritized items on the product roadmap are delivered on time and on budget
  • Implementing required regulatory changes to QDI and QGP, identifying solutions and implementation plans
  • Working with operations, service and delivery team, assists in identifying opportunities to improve client experience and create efficiencies for Digital Wealth products
  • Execute on approved strategies/plans for continued improvement and enhancement of QDI and QGP by scheduling enhancements with the Technical Product Owner
Requirements

Your experience and skills:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably with an investment management or online brokerage organization
  • The ideal candidate would have experience in Online Brokerage or Robo Advisor
  • 7-10 years\' experience in product management, technology, business architecture, and related fields
  • Experience working in agile environment with technology teams
  • Analysis and Problem Solving: Focuses and defines the problem space, engages resources across functional boundaries to develop creative solutions.
  • Strong technical abilities, understanding and developing complex technical solutions
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to effectively multi-task and manage competing high priority initiatives, including flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing requirements
  • Interpersonal skills, with a track record of building strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required - Canadian Securities Course and additional industry certifications preferred
  • Critical thinking skills are a must to uncover opportunities and go beyond the surface of issues
  • Strong communication skills. Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
