The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States. Your challenge!Reporting to the Director Demand Planning and Supply, and in close collaboration with sales, marketing, finance and customer service teams, the Senior Planner's mission is to develop and implement the inventory management strategy and the Sand OP plan in order to optimize the planning, supply and distribution network within the plants. You coordinate with the plants to determine the production capacity, supply availability, production time, shipping requirements and product mix by location to effectively meet customer demand. You also work with each plant to coordinate new products' launch and obsolete items' depletion. As a result, you actively contribute to improving plant profitability and customer satisfaction.Individual responsibilities

Identify and communicate supply/distribution constraints in order to refine the Sand OP plan.
Execute the Sand OP plan.
Responsible
Produce sales projections and promotions.
Support the sales and marketing teams.
Manage, establish and apply inventory strategies.
Ensure deliveries within capacity.
Maintain data in the integrated system.
Perform maintenance based on business rules.
Ensure processing/follow-up of purchase orders based on business rules.
Determine, review and optimize MRP parameters. Experiences and strengths
5 to 10 years of experience
Bachelor's degree in operations management, logistics, supply chain or equivalent
Computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP
Sound judgment to ensure follow-up and effective implementation of solutions in accordance with company priorities.
Good resource management skills
Breadth and depth of knowledge in planning and distribution operations, especially in distribution activities
Ability to communicate effectively with team leadership as well as site partners regarding complex issues
Excellent proactive problem-solving and analytical skills
Collaborative spirit needed to work closely with all team members.
Experience in improvement processes
Very good analysis, mathematics and statistics skills
Excellent knowledge of planning tools and inventory management
Good communication skills
Ability to act and react quickly while working on a number of files at the same time.
