What is the opportunity?

The Talent Solutions team is a flexible pool of problem solvers that balances RBC enterprise and platform/regional needs to create HR solutions that support both short term/one-time, mid, and long term requirements, flexing approaches based on the problem definition.

Reporting to the Director, Talent Solutions in Canada, the Senior Manager Talent Solutions executes the design and build of solutions to enable business leaders and HR partners' goal to Inspire and Grow talent to set RBC apart.

What will you do?

  • Develop solutions, aligned to talent strategies, working in partnership with a project team of multi-talented internal consultants, HR COEs, and Talent Partners. Solutions may be complex, enterprise in scope or specific to a line of business, region or function.
  • Design and deliver high quality solutions, with a strong focus on consulting practices, employee/user feedback and innovation.
  • Follow principles to identify and articulate the solutions and features, prioritizing and focusing on solutions that drive highest impact outcomes and deliver value.
  • Effectively manage time, prioritizing daily activities ensuring timely delivery of all solutions, in alignment with objectives and priorities.

Must-have
  • Understand the criticality of getting things done in a variety of circumstances.
  • Knowledge of effective change management and communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Strong strategic and consultative mindset, execute projects leveraging appropriate project approach and methodology (e.g. waterfall, agile, lean, scrum), taking a pragmatic view to maximize efficiency and align to business needs.
  • Proficiency in collaborative techniques; ability to guide teams with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Knowledge of major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the Human Resources (HR) function or department; ability to use and effectively administrate the organization's HR policies, strategies and environment.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, exercise independent judgment and decision on complex issues, requiring advanced analysis of variable factors.
  • Build and use effective working relationships within own department and across department, functional, and geographic reporting lines.
Nice-to-have
  • Knowledge of solutions development principles, processes, techniques and tools; ability to assess employee/talent needs and provide solutions for them.
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
  • Knowledge of techniques to successfully effect change in an organization and ability to manage the successful and smooth transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure, and overall organizational environment.
  • Knowledge of business concepts, tools and techniques; ability to operate with a business mindset that complements one's functional specialty and keeps it in a business context.

Job Summary The Sr. Manager, Talent Solutions contributes to the solution design by partnering closely with a project team of multi-talented internal consultants and business stakeholders to uncover opportunities for improved effectiveness, efficiency, quality in existing processes and in creation of new solutions that support current HR strategy. The Sr. Manager impacts solution strategies from the earliest stages, ensuring the user experience aligns with stakeholders expectations and follows the style guide and look-and-feel conventions.
