GreenStep offers programs and services that help businesses to measure, reduce, and report on their environmental and other sustainability impacts through the delivery of sustainability assessments, life cycle analysis, carbon footprint measurements, energy assessments, waste audits, and related programs and services. We are seeking a Senior Manager who is passionate about sustainability and has experience in commercial building energy performance. Reporting to the Director of Sustainability & Climate Action Consulting, the Senior Manager will support, coordinate, and lead the delivery of a range of energy and sustainability projects on behalf of our clients. Duties & Responsibilities
Conducting ASHRAE Level 1-3 energy assessments, building engineering analysis, and business case analysis for energy efficiency technologies and retrofits
Supporting engineering proposals and business development
Providing feedback, advice, project updates, and encouragement to team members
Arranging and leading planning and project coordination meetings
Understanding and managing the technical, regulatory, commercial, and contractual requirements of projects
Coordinating with site construction and commissioning managers
Elevating project technical risks to the Project Manager or Division Director for mitigation
Performing other related duties as needed
Required Knowledge and Skills
10+ years of experience in commercial building design and construction, HVAC systems, building science, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and airflow fundamentals
Experience producing feasibility studies, business cases, financial analysis, and reports, as well as supporting mechanical system design
Familiarity with energy modeling (asset)
Good verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A P.Eng registration or eligibility for registration with the Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
Willingness to travel within Canada as needed
You will be a self-starter and a team player with the ability to receive and execute work with little to moderate supervision. You\xe2\x80\x99ll possess proven communication skills and be confident coordinating with project team members. Education Required
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Registered P.Eng or eligible for registration as P.Eng with the Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or equivalent (e.g. APEGA) .
