What is the opportunity?

Disruptors, an RBC podcast, is a leading Canadian podcast about reimagining Canada\xe2\x80\x99s economy in a time of unprecedented change. It features thought-provoking conversations with Canadian business and innovation leaders about planting the seeds of a new economy.

In this fast-paced role, you will manage RBC\xe2\x80\x99s top-ranked innovation podcast series from all aspects of production, with the goal of increasing reach and engagement.

What will you do?

The showrunner - Produce a high quality, insightful and dynamic biweekly podcast, showcasing RBC\xe2\x80\x99s breadth of expertise on topics relating to innovation and Canada\xe2\x80\x99s future economy to a Canadian business decision maker audience.

Lead and manage the development of each episode, including leading regular production meetings, editorial calendar, guest chasing, scheduling, scripting, publishing and promotion.

Produce and execute strategy related to the podcast\xe2\x80\x99s production and delivery, aligning with show host and act as problem solver to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

Work with external podcast production company on scheduling and staffing for all recordings, production scheduling, and marketing.

Lead amplification strategy across channels and audiences to increase reach and engagement

Provide guests with tracking links, social graphics, messaging, and audiograms to promote on their channels. Work with social media manager for promotion of episodes.

Work with audience growth lead on crafting pitches to advertise on other shows, craft host-read scripts, and execute marketing campaigns that require design and editorial direction. Identify similar shows with aligning themes and desired audience, for organic cross-promotion opportunities.

Work with RBC lines of business, to inform and amplify the podcast to a variety of internal and external channels.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Highly organized, innovative with deep digital expertise

Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar podcast or content creation managerial role.

Exceptional writing, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Ability to plan, own, and strategize.

Detail-oriented, highly adaptable, with strong research skills.

Nice-to-have

Previous experience in a large, global leading Financial Institution or consulting firm.

Previous podcast production experience.

Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications and/or Advertising.

Undergraduate degree/post-graduate certificate or equivalent in communications, public relations, journalism, English or related field.
