The incumbent will work creating strategies and generating content for specific audiences, including the Francophone community in Quebec and across Canada in collaboration with the Director, Digital Communications. You will liaise with our marketing teams to enhance fundraising opportunities and corporate partnerships, and develop engaging content for all channels in support of organizational goals and objectives.

In this role, you will:

  • Work on editorial and content strategy planning for the web
  • Manage a team of content editors to ensure regular and timely updates to communications-led pages on redcross.ca/croixrouge.ca
  • Act as an essential connection for French-language content creation and digital campaign management
  • Liaise with marketing team for website content strategy and updates (home page, new sections, etc.)
  • Support marketing content requests
  • Provide the Senior Manager, Social Media with analytics and insights
  • Analyze campaign results and provide recommendations to inform decision-making for future campaigns
  • Support creation of content for all digital channels (including but not limited to blog posts and social media content)
  • Support third-party app development and content
  • Understand current web trends and best practices specific to the work of Canadian Red Cross
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams in order to understand their needs and goals, and ensure that the audience perspective is being considered
  • Contribute to regular reporting (monthly, quarterly, and as required during emergencies)
  • Maintain an understanding of trends, feedback and metrics of similar organizations
  • Provide on-call assistance during weekends, emergencies and appeals
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor degree or associates degree in marketing, communications, or has work experience or training in PR, online marketing or similar field
  • Requires a minimum of six to ten years of experience in communications and client relations in the area(s) of Public Relations/Communications or Marketing/Advertising
  • Bilingualism French/English is a requirement
  • Experience managing content creators and editors
  • Strong experience in managing web content projects
  • Demonstrated active involvement in social networking (blogs, communities)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and relationship building skills
