You manage technical and scientific professionals responsible for initiation and execution of programs. This is a leadership role in cross-functional teams and regularly interacts with RDQ and cross-functional senior management. How you will contribute You will lead regional and sub-regional teams to deliver on the quality strategy, providing sufficient resources and expertise to appropriate functions and locations. You will manage, lead, coach and develop a team of quality experts to execute regional and global quality programs, ensuring compliance with Mondel\xc4\x93z policies and procedures and adherence to external regional and local food safety/regulatory requirements in internal and external manufacturing locations and facilities. In this role, you will develop and report quality KPIs, applying your understanding of the impact regional KPIs have on the global business. In addition, you will facilitate communities of practice on quality related topics; represent the quality function at R&D meetings to ensure that sufficient resources and expertise are allocated to significant projects, and to ensure there are sufficient resources available so products meet design, food safety and quality policy requirements; identify quality enhancements and improvements across R&D and the supply chain; partner with technical groups such as food safety/micro and sanitation to ensure program compliance and enhancement, and; help manage special situations and early warnings with respect to plant investigations, root-cause analysis and follow-up for the SSMT, protecting Mondel\xc4\x93z\xe2\x80\x99s interests and reputation. Summary Statement : The Sr. Manager, NA Venture position provides leadership and management for Ventures across the North America Quality team. This position is responsible for leadership in the areas of quality manufacturing strategic direction, development of, Food Safety and Quality Systems, product standards and Regulatory Compliance. This position drives quality commitment across the NA Venture organization and manufacturing network to assure achievement of superior customer satisfaction, consistency, value, and food safety. This position ideally requires experience in quality and/or manufacturing, understanding of Quality & Business Systems and the ability to influence stakeholders This position would report to the US NA Ventures Director and indirectly report to the NA Ventures RD team and Operations team across US and Canada. Success in this role will require strong leadership, managing a remote team, working well with others, deep knowledge of quality principles / programs, strong technical skill, strong influencing skills, and a sound understanding of the commercial business Primary Responsibilities
Influence Senior Operations & RDQ Management and lead the development and implementation of a manufacturing quality strategic plan that sets a strong Quality direction for the NA Ventures Network. Deliver continuous improvement across manufacturing network through new tools / application, network benchmarking and leveraging cross-category, cross-region collaboration to ensure product design processes and quality systems are best in class.
Drive the successful implementation of quality policies, programs, tools and technologies that position Quality as a competitive advantage. Leverage shared services to enable achievement of manufacturing goals. Ensure preparedness for internal and 3rd party audits.
Work with NA Ventures partners and manufacturing quality managers to develop the ventures departments and capabilities. Provide necessary training and development in product knowledge, process technology, process control, optimization techniques, QP\xe2\x80\x99s and Mondelez competencies to increase employee effectiveness and achieve optimum performance levels.
Lead quality programs and training with Ventures partners and manufacturing locations in areas such as Quality Chain Management System, Traceability, Weight Control, HACCP, GMP\xe2\x80\x99s, Sanitation, Food Safety Principles and Regulatory compliance. Facilitates sharing of best practices between different manufacturing locations and NA Partners.
Lead compliance to key quality and food safety programs such as supplier management and HACCP management connecting the NA region subject matter experts.
Qualifications/Abilities :
B.S./M.S. in a related scientific discipline
30% Travel
Minimum 8-10 years of related experience (Operations and/or RDQ) with demonstrated technical and managerial ability.
Excellent leadership capabilities, interpersonal relations skills and problem-solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of Quality Principles and Mondelez Quality programs and Policies.
Analytical skills to evaluate data and make sound judgement regarding the business.
Be a confident, humble and servant leader with a demonstrated ability to connect with people from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and organization levels, who can explain technical concepts to non-technical people, drive results and be adaptive in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organization within corporate and manufacturing settings.
