ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting directly to the Partners and focusing on private company clients, responsibilities will include:

  • Review of audit, review and tax engagements
  • Apply knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE) and knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and asset
  • Identify and resolve accounting and tax issues proactively through collaboration with Senior Managers/Partners
  • Review personal, trust, corporate tax, GST, T4 and T5 returns, delegating tasks where appropriate
  • Demonstrate an understanding of clients\xe2\x80\x99 industry, marketplace, business trends and technical industry development, key performance drivers and communicate such to the client
  • Provide support to clients and staff on general questions regarding accounting, taxation, operation and financial accounting issues
  • Effectively manage workload, deadlines and client expectations, ensuring client satisfaction
  • Delegate tasks to all levels of staff while providing guidance and training to staff members to enhance their career development within the firm
  • Foster positive working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Identify and action business development through community involvement
REQUIREMENTS
  • Designated CPA
  • 8+ experience in public practice (ideally midsized firms)
  • 2-3 years experience at Senior Manager level
  • 5+ years experience in a client facing role with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Private company assurance/tax experience
  • Strong client relationship building skills
COMPENSATION
  • Salary $130,000-150,000
  • 4 weeks of vacation
  • Bonus up to 20%
  • Extended health and dental benefits
