Job Description


Senior Inventory Analyst H.A. Kidd is seeking an analytical and driven individual to join our team as a Senior Inventory Analyst. As a key member of our Purchasing Team, the Senior Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing inventory items, controlling day-to-day inventory operations and production scheduling, and implementing and managing inventory control protocols. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, acute commercial awareness and the ability to interpret and implement data on inventory trends and movement. Furthermore, flexibility and a hunger for learning and growth is key as the Senior Inventory Analyst will work closely with the Purchasing & Data Processing Manager and will gain hands-on training in other related functions such as inbound freight, procurement coordination, and purchasing. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Maintaining and improving the company\xe2\x80\x99s inventory situation by analyzing inventory
  • Allocating inventory
  • Analyzing and researching a wide range of inventory-related reports
  • Creating inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, product movement, and other statistical data
  • Reporting inventory statistics and recommendations to management. Suggesting improvements to inventory control
  • Performing regular inventory counts
  • Coordinating with other employees to resolve discrepancies
  • Creating and maintaining inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory
  • Assist in other duties assigned by Department Manager
Knowledge and skills:
  • 2+ years of analytical experience with emphasis on inventory management
  • Post-Secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Retail Management, Finance, Business and /or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge in inventory and supply chain concepts
  • Excellent skills in Excel and databases; Experience with ERP systems a definite asset
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to identify problems and draw upon a range of choices to formulate solutions
  • Able to work independently and in within a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing customer demands and working under the challenge of tight timelines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to possess a strong sense of urgency
  • Hunger for learning and career growth
