If you are looking for an opportunity to work from home for a fast-paced organization, Paladin is the place for you!Financial Analyst / Senior Financial AnalystReporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst's responsibility involves financial as well as management accounting, profitability/cost/budget analysis. Responsibilities also include financial reporting, internal control process management as well as submission of multiple deliverables to the Corporate office. The incumbent also works on a variety of critical strategic and tactical initiatives for the assigned areas.Reports ToControllerSpecific ResponsibilitiesFinancial & Management Accounting:

  • Prepare period end inventory entries/adjustments/analysis relating to inventory, inventory provisions, inventory accruals, Cost of goods sold (COGS), standard cost analysis and purchase price variances.
  • Ensure intercompany balances related to inventory are reconciled/balanced on a monthly basis.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly and year-end closings, including analyzing trends/variances.
  • Perform various period end journal entries related to accrued expenses, deferred costs/revenues.
  • Complete required monthly, quarterly, and year-end internal control procedures.
  • Coach team members in preparation of month-end deliverables.
  • Analysis of financial statements (e.g. comparisons to budget and prior period).
  • Prepare, analyze and interpret financial reports required for management decision-making.
  • Liaise closely with other departments (Operations, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Logistics) and outsourcing parties.
  • Work closely with the Controller to ensure accuracy and integrity of financials.
  • Recommend opportunities for process improvement and simplification.
  • Perform other special projects and ad-hoc analytical support assigned by the Controller.
Financial Reporting & Internal Controls:
  • Submit and Validate Company's results in One Stream within required deadlines.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly analytical templates and reporting packages.
  • Assist with ad-hoc corporate reporting requirements (i.e. impairment analysis, insurance, etc.).
  • Work with internal audit and various stakeholders in the implementation and oversight of compliance with internal controls.
  • Complete other external reporting requirement (Statistics Canada, etc.).

Candidate ProfileRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • CPA designation.
  • Prior accounting, reporting and operations analysis experience.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or OneStream.
  • Knowledge and application of accounting principles.
Asset
  • Combination of science and business education.
  • Experience with market research and data analysis.
  • Experience in financial modeling or accounting.
  • Comprehension of market access and regulatory.
