The Senior Financial Analyst will work within a dynamic team, focused on the implementation of the new IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts accounting standard, which includes the build out of a new Enterprise Data Lake House (EDLH), in addition to new tools including Power BI and Moody’s Risk Integrity. The Senior Financial Analyst may at times also support execution of existing Finance processes, as needed. In other words, they’re awesome. If you are too, consider joining our finance team! You’re great at:

• Working with large and complex data, data models and supporting systems
• Manipulating and validating the data to conform with our financial statement build-out and related processes
• Supporting shareholder and regulatory reporting requirements in the context of the new accounting standard
• Documenting processes and controls in relation to both the new accounting standard and new systems
• Gaining an understanding of the new IFRS-17 calculation engine and ensuring end-to-end functionality and performance
• Assessing and applying accounting policies in support of the new standard
• Supporting Finance BAU activities, as needed

You have:

• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting and reporting experience
• Experienced working with Microsoft Office Suite
• Adept at working with advanced functionality of MS Excel and manipulating/analyzing large data sets
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of insurance accounting, trends and developments is considered an asset
• Attainment or pursuit of professional accounting/finance designation or MBA
