What this job involves:



JLL is hiring a Senior Facilities Manager (FM) for a prominent client who is a global leader in high speed connectivity. Their Ottawa operations boast a showcase campus which includes a flagship R&D centre. The Senior FM has managerial oversight for the entire campus and leads the facilities operations team.



We will leverage your expertise in managing critical environments to ensure smooth operations 24/7. We need a strong leader to manage the on-site team and engage with the client and other stakeholders as the primary liaison. The Senior FM also has overall financial responsibility and responsibility for campus' performance and will manage the budget and KPI's. This is an exciting opportunity to manage world class facilities.



What your day-to-day will look like:



Oversee daily operations of campus/facilities ensuring that all services are effectively delivered and facility needs are met including janitorial, life-safety, engineering, repairs and maintenance. Ensure that the FM/Engineering team implements and provides these services in a manner consistent with JLL policies and client directives

Manage service contracts cost effectively. Responsible for all aspects of service delivery pursuant to these contracts, responsible for periodic and ongoing performance and financial review, conducting RFP's, and assuring payments and invoicing match contract pricing

Lead the facility management and engineering team in the supervision of maintenance programs relating to the interior and exterior conditions and appearance and operation of the facilities along with no business interruption within critical environments/data centers

Ensure that facility management staff consistently provides positive and prompt response to requests from the client/building occupants

Develop, prepare and explain the annual facility budget, on-going forecasts, and other financial requests from the client

Assist in development of OPEX and capital budgets for the portfolio. This includes contributions towards a multi - year plan of maintenance, facility improvement and cost reduction initiatives

Coordinate the collection, analysis and reporting by the facility management team of statistical data and analysis to provide accurate and current assessment of facility management objectives, work order productivity, cost savings and improvements. Review work order metrics to identify service gaps and recurring issues and provide corrective actions

Responsible for all positions and direct the hiring, training and motivational activities of the facility management staff. Responsible for effective and proactive employee relations with all site staff. Conduct and approve all performance evaluations of facility management staff

Manage and drive customer focus within all areas of operational activities and ensure that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts

Perform additional job duties as requested



Required Qualifications:



5+ years' experience in a supervisory capacity of building operation teams

Experience in managing data centers and critical environments/infrastructure.

Superior people management skills and superior client relationship management skills

Skilled in Building Management Systems maintenance and monitoring

Experience with managing multiple vendors and small capital projects

Ability to plan and manage within budget and time constraints

Ability to read and understand construction specifications, blueprints, and single line diagrams

Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook



Preferred Qualifications:



Certified Facility Manager (CFM), International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) industry certifications recommended; other Engineering, Business or technical training or certifications preferred
