Purpose of the Role



BGIS is seeking an experienced

Senior Facilities Manager

to oversee the delivery of all contracted facility management services at our

brand-new landmark waterfront venue

. Reporting to the Services Delivery Manager, you will drive reactive and planned maintenance, manage subcontractors, meet financial targets, and foster an exceptional client experience.


We are looking for someone with solid facilities experience and proven people management skills, who enjoys leading by example and supporting their team. This is a hands-on role in a visible, client-focused environment where collaboration, guidance, and teamwork are valued.


Key Responsibilities



Oversee and manage reactive and planned maintenance programs across the site. ? Manage financial performance, budgets, invoicing, and procurement processes. Ensure subcontractors and suppliers meet contractual and compliance requirements. Foster positive client relationships, delivering exceptional service and reporting regularly. Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of professionals, encouraging a positive and accountable workplace culture. Ensure full compliance with BGIS HSEQ systems and actively participate in sustainability initiatives. Support risk assessments, hazard reporting, and safe execution of all tasks.

Education, Experience & Skills



Essential:



Proven Facilities Management experience, including managing reactive and planned maintenance (all levels encouraged to apply). Experience empowering and managing a small team of professionals in a client-facing environment. Strong financial acumen, contract management, and experience with QA, OH&S, and environmental systems. Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Desirable:



Trade qualification (Mechanical/Electrical) and post-trade qualification (Engineering Certificate/Associate Diploma) or equivalent. Experience in large-scale public venues, PPP contracts, or collaborative contracting frameworks. Exposure to ESD, energy management, and sustainability initiatives. Facilities Management tertiary qualifications (Bachelor/Master's).
