Responsibilities
Analyze project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Collaborate with General Manager, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations.
Evaluate materials, labor, and equipment costs to determine project expenses.
Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids in response to client requests.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes.
Ensure bid submissions are compliant with project requirements and deadlines.
Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs.
Work with the project team to develop risk mitigation strategies.
Provide input on risk factors affecting bid pricing.
Maintain detailed and organized records of estimation data, assumptions, and methodologies.
Generate reports and summaries for internal review and client presentations.
Collaborate with the operations team to refine and update estimates as needed.
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather and clarify project details.
Manage and coordinate construction projects in alignment with General Manager and prepare construction progress schedules. Ensuring alignment between estimated costs and project budgets.
prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Participate in meetings to discuss project requirements, scope, and potential changes.
Work with the RCMI senior management team to advance the company's business strategy.

The position is local to Kamloops, but travel will be required to specific projects outside of the area within Canada
Valid Driver's License
Desired education:
Engineering Degree or Diploma
Preferred areas of study: Mining, Civil, Construction Management
Candidates without a degree/diploma will be considered with proven experience.
PMI training is considered an asset
Desired experience:
Civil 3D MinePlan 3D, or similar
Microsoft Project or similar
Drilling and Blasting
Mining
Heavy Civil Construction - Earthworks/Infrastructure
Preference will be given to those candidates with proven experience in a Mining/Civil background.
