Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and well reputed GC dedicated to interior renovation and hospital projects across the GTA. You will work closely with senior management and leadership and be a key and instrumental contributor to business growth and new project acquisition.The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Manage the tender and quantity take off process on multiple estimating projects
- Deal directly with sub-trades in preparation of tender documents
- Work with the Pre-Construction Director and leadership to close tenders and proposals
- Manage the transition of the successful project estimating to the project management team for execution
- All other responsibilities as required
- 10 years of experience within the GTA GC interiors and health care sectors
- Experience estimating projects in the scope of $1M - $20M;
- Local market experience with good trade relations;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to run the entire estimating process from pre-qualifications, to initial quantity takeoffs, preliminary project schedules, and through to closing the tender
- Strong software application skills
- Willingness to maintain technical knowledge through professional development, education workshops and reviewing technical publications.
